Fall Food Festival Focuses on Local Farmers and Chefs

Fourth Annual Farm and Chef Afternoon on Saturday, October 7 at The Cooperage in Honesdale PA

Wayne County’s sustainable farmers, members of the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture (PASA), will celebrate the fall harvest by hosting their fourth annual Farm and Chef afternoon on Saturday, October 7 at The Cooperage, as they welcome six local chefs to prepare food grown and produced on their farms.

There’s So Much On The Horizon in the Poconos, You’ll Be Head Over Hills!  Most likely, you’ll have a hard time deciding what to do next. You may decide to hit a food and wine festival to nourish your foodie soul – or maybe you’ll want to see a show. Great! You can do both. In fact, you can do a lot more than that. The Poconos has concerts, festivals, races, comedy shows, theater, carnivals, and county fairs.

The Poconos concerts run the gamut from local acts to national tours – and the genres run the gamut from rock to blues to country. Pocono Mountain festivals celebrate everything from beer to garlic to wieners! And what about the fantastic food concoctions you’ll run into on the midway at the county fairs -­‐ who’s up for deep-­‐fried Oreos?

All sorts of Pocono events are coming up, such as art and music festivals, NASCAR and Indy races, and more! In the Pocono Mountains, you can do whatever you want.

Every November, guests flock to Woodloch Pines, an all-inclusive family resort in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains, to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday at this nationally renowned, family-friendly getaway.
