Welcome to the Poconos

Whether you’re searching for the best family vacations or weekend getaways for couples; you’ll be head over hills for the Poconos!

Once upon a time, long before Tastykakes and the Internet were invented, the Poconos majestically rose up under our feet. People and pets have been coming from the city and the boonies just to spend time in our northeastern Pennsylvania wonderland.

Here in the Poconos, you can do just about everything. You can relax – or race. You can roll down the river – or roll the dice at a casino. When you visit the Poconos, you can escape and relax for a romantic vacation, or hike nature trails in the area state parks.  Go shopping at hundreds of the areas boutique shops, antiques, malls and more.  You can even work if you must. We have great spaces for conferences. In the Poconos, you can do whatever you want.

Poco-Knows: The area covers four counties: Wayne, Pike, Monroe, and Carbon. It’s 2,400 sq. miles and more than 340,000 people live in the Poconos year-‐round. It would take about 2 hours to drive from the Southern most point to the Northern most point of the Poconos.  VisitPoconos.com covers the Poconos, Lehigh Valley and Northeast Pennsylvania regions.

Why Curb Appeal Matters

Getting ready to sell your home? Don’t forget to assess your house’s curb appeal with a critical eye.

“First impressions are vital,” said Paulette Smith, president of the Pocono Mountains Association of REALTORS®. “Potential buyers notice everything about the outside of the house first – even when they’re looking online. If the outside is in really bad shape, some buyers may refuse to take a step inside.”

Get Local Wine Shipped Right to Your Door

You can now have locally produced, sustainably made wine and spirits delivered right to your door. Mountain View Vineyard, Winery & Distillery has opened an online store.  Every day, the business owners, Randy and Linda Rice, hear customers ask if they can order wine and spirits online. Many say they love the idea of shopping locally, but it's not always convenient for them to drive to the winery tucked away in the hills of Jackson Township.
