Children and adults should be prepared to have fun from the moment they arrive at Kalahari Resorts and Conventions’ Pocono Mountain location.  Staff outfitted in safari gear greeted me under the canopy, as the sounds of rhythmic drums of tribal music playing in the background set the stage for my African-themed travel writing adventure.  Inside the lobby, the sweet smell of caramel and confections coming from the Last Bite Candy & Ice Cream Shoppe intermingled with the aroma of fresh coffee brewing inside Java Manjaro, Kalahari’s signature coffee shop.

Mohegan Sun Pocono to Reduce Carbon Footprint by 14% with New Combined Heat and Power System
Mohegan Sun Pocono will install a Combined Heat and Power (CHP) system which will provide a reliable, energy-efficient source for heating and electric power and reduce Mohegan Sun Pocono’s primary energy consumption. Installation of the CHP system by Reading, Pennsylvania-based UGI HVAC Enterprises, Inc. (UGI HVAC) is anticipated to begin in March and be fully operational by fall 2016.

Settlers Hospitality Group has officially closed on its purchase of Ehrhardt’s Waterfront Resort on Lake Wallenpaupack. Plans are progressing to relaunch Ehrhardt’s in May as Silver Birches Resort, which had been the name of the property from 1928, when George and Rachel Singer built the inn, until the late 1980s when the name was changed to Ehrhardt’s.
