A Recap of The Pocono Cupcake Challenge
This past weekend, The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort hosted their 5th Annual Cupcake Challenge to support The United Way of Monroe County – the charitable competition took place on November 6 from 12:00pm to 3:00pm. The event was a great success, attracting approximately 1,500 people from all over the tristate area and raising upwards of $8,000 to support families in need living in Monroe County.

Skytop Lodge’s Lakeview Dining Room Now Open to Public

Skytop Lodge announced today that its Lakeview Dining Room is now open to the public, offering dinner seasonally Tuesdays through Saturdays from 6 to 9 p.m. Lakeview’s new chef Aimee Patel comes to Skytop with extensive culinary experience, having worked under acclaimed chefs like Masaharu Morimoto at his namesake restaurant.

Internationally recognized golfer, Arnold Palmer died on Sunday, September 25 at the age of 87. The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort especially mourns the loss of this Golfing legend, because his memory quite literally fills the halls of the beautiful and historic resort. Guests and visitors of the Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort can find pictures of one of the most famous golfers of all time, proudly displayed in the halls. In one photo, Palmer smiles in the Shawnee barber shop while getting a haircut – turn the next hallway to find the famous golfer photographed on Shawnee’s course with actor and comedian, Jackie Gleason.

Woodloch Resort to Host 9th Annual “A Night for the Cure”
On Sunday, October 16, 2016, Woodloch Pines Resort, an all-inclusive resort in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains, will host the 9th Annual “A Night for the Cure.” The tricky-tray fundraiser benefits the Susan G. Komen for the Cure as part of BK Hope Cures. Originally established 16 years ago by Bob Kiesendahl (BK), co-owner of Woodloch and leukemia survivor, the organization’s mission is to raise awareness and funds in the fight against cancer.
