The temperatures are starting to rise and we have got some hot destinations where you and your families can cool down this summer. If it’s waterparks, waterfalls or the sparkling blue waters of a lake or river, the Poconos is filled with exciting destinations for every type of H2O seeker. Water Parks

Waterfalls

Bushkill Falls – The “Niagara of Pennsylvania,” Bushkill Falls is one of the Keystone states most famous scenic attractions.  This unique series of eight waterfalls is an astounding natural beauty that is worth the hike to see.  It is accessible through and excellent network of hiking trails and bridges which afford fabulous views of the forest and falls.  www.visitbushkillfalls.com

Lehigh Gorge – There is spectacular scenery and roaring rapids waiting for you at Lehigh Gorge. Remember, to bring your camera for this trail. A deep, steep-walled gorge carved by a river outcroppings and waterfalls characterize Lehigh Gorge State Park. Whitewater boating is a major attraction of the park.  This section of the Lehigh River is a Class II-III whitewater and is very popular for rafting, kayaking and canoeing.  www.dcnr.state.pa.us/stateparks/findapark/lehighgorge

Dingman Falls - is the second highest falls in the state, with a plunge of 130 feet.  In heavy spring runoff, there is no way to get to the end of the boardwalk without getting drenched by spray.  The boardwalk trail passes by a thin horsetail cascade called Silverthread Falls.  

Get out of dodge and head to the Poconos for some wet and wild fun! There is no shortage of options for any type of water adventure you may be seeking.  The beautiful Pocono Mountains have something for everyone.
